State of the Art trailer designed for the Cape 31

The trailer allows the trailer to be loaded onto the trailer flat and centrally on the trailer

The boat can be rotated to allow the overall width of the trailer to be 2.55m. The boat remains central as it rotates. It is rotated using electrically driven hydraulic system.

When driven to an event the boat can be raised by either a forklift, crane or travel lift, The cradle uprights are then unfolded and the Cradle and hull is then placed on the uprights allowing the boat to be stored in the keel down mode

The keel can then be moved to be underneath the keel slot. There is a winch system to allow the keel to be raised and inserted into the hull. This operation can be time consuming and allows this process to be carried out precisely and easily rather than trying to lower a hull down over the keel. It also means that this important delicate operation is not being carried out using an impatient crane or travel lift operator.

Recovering the boat and preparing for transport is the reverse of the above operation.
